Answer

A thesis statement is usually the last sentence in the first paragraph of your paper. It is an arguable statement which you will support with evidence in the body of your paper. Your thesis statement should not be in the form of a question.

You can see advice about writing a thesis statement in Purdue's Online Writing Lab.

You may also want to visit your campus Writing Center to set up an appointment to work on your paper.
