Can I easily duplicate an item on my course homepage?

Answer

Yes, you can. (See the important note at the end of these instructions!)

1. Turn editing on.

2. This gives you the tool icons as seen below:

3. Look for the icon that looks like two white pieces of paper and click it:

4. Click “Continue” when you see this:

5. You can click “Edit the new copy” to work on the new copy now or “Return to the course”.

Note: If you edit the new copy now, it will be easier to find it later when you return to the course if the name has been changed. The following shows what it will look like if you choose “Return to course”:

NOTE: Do not use this for copying a Turnitin assignment. Turnitin assignments are unique assignments. They are tied to Turnitin as soon as you create one. So if you use the copy tool, the "copy" will be tied to the original.
