Why do I see only numbers instead of names of my students when grading assignments?

Answer

There is a new feature in Moodle 2.4 called “Blind Marking” which enables instructors to grade assignments without seeing the student’s names. If this feature is used (turned on), then the instructor can only change it back to “No” if there have not been any submissions. Once submissions have been made the only way to reveal the student’s names is to grade the work and then select “Reveal student identities” under “Settings”.
